Product Description

Optical Glass Spherical Lens Imaging Application

An achromatic lens, also referred to as an achromat, typically consists of two optical components cemented together, usually a positive low-index (crown) element and a negative high-index (flint) element. In comparison to a singlet lens, or singlet for short, which only consists of a single piece of glass, the additional design freedom provided by using a doublet design allows for further optimization of performance. Therefore, an achromatic lens will have noticeable advantages over a comparable diameter and focal length singlet.

+1 Cemented Achromatic Doublets
Achromatic lenses consist of two optical components cemented together to form an achromatic doubled, which is computer optimized to correct for on-axis spherical and chromatic aberrations.
+2 Cemented Achromatic Triplets
An achromatic triplet is the simplest lens that corrects all primary chromatic aberrations. These triplets consist of a low-index center element cemented between two identical high-index outer elements and feature good on-axis and off-axis performance.

+3 Achromatic Doublet Pairs
Worldhawk offers Matched Achromatic Pairs for use in the visible or NIR spectral range. Matched Achromatic Pairs are ideal for image relay, NA conversion, or image magnification.
+4 Air-Spaced Achromatic Doublets
Worldhawk' selection of air-spaced achromatic doublets offer diffraction-limited spot size, superior aberration correction, and higher damage thresholds than traditional cemented doublets. They have been designed for use across broad wavelength ranges with minimal aberrations.

+5 Negative Achromatic Lenses

Consisting of two optical elements cemented together, negative achromats are corrected for color and on-axis aberrations. Used predominantly as Barlow lenses to extend focal lengths, they are often combined with positive achromatic mirror systems and imaging lenses.

Product application introduction:

◇Ball lenses are, as the name suggests, completely spherical lenses most commonly used to couple light in and out of fibres. Ball lenses are also used as objective lenses in endoscopy, laser measurement systems and bar-code scanning.

◇Optical Windows are flat, plane-parallel plates that are often used as protective barriers for electronic sensors or detectors from outside environments. Optical Windows should be selected based on the material transmission or mechanical properties of the substrate. Optical Windows do not cause change in the magnification of a system.

◇Laser Lenses are used to focus collimated light from laser beams in a variety of laser applications. Laser Lenses include a range of lens types including PCX Lenses, Aspheric Lenses, Cylinder Lenses, or Laser Generator Lenses. Laser Lenses are designed to focus light in several different ways depending on the lens type, such as focusing down to a point, a line, or a ring. Many different lens types are available in a range of wavelengths.

Optical Filters are used in applications such as fluorescence microscopy, clinical chemistry, spectroscopy, or machine vision inspection. Including bandpass interference filter, Cut off filters, UV bandpass filter, Narrow bandpass filter, ND filter, Negative Filter or Notch filters, Dichroic filter, Color glass filter
